About Our Daylilies

We are a family business operating a 1.5-acre daylily farm in rural Minnesota.

Our daylilies are very hardy withstanding winter temperatures as low as -30°F. They are also resistant to drought and heat. Daylilies will grow well in half shade to full sunlight. They are rugged, vigorous perennials that can thrive with little care.

We dig and ship daylilies from late May to September 15th. Daylilies can be planted throughout the growing season. We send you freshly dug plants with large divisions from our State inspected garden. The less time the plants are out of the ground the better. We recommend planting as soon as possible after receiving your shipment.

We ship to the continental US and have in-field sales during the bloom season.

Where to plant:

Daylilies grow best in full sunlight but should have six hours of sunlight or more as a minimum. Daylilies will grow well in most soil but do the best in a slightly acidic, moist soil that includes organic matter and is well drained.

How to plant:

Daylilies can typically be planted anytime during late spring, summer or early fall. Plants will arrive bare root with the foliage trimmed back to about 6 to 8 inches. Work up the soil in the area the plant is to be planted. Dig a hole a little larger than the roots. Place the Daylily in the soil so the portion where the root and foliage meet (crown) is about 1 inch below the soil. Lightly pack the soil and water the plants.
